1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Status Craft (“Status Craft”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) handles information when you use our mobile application. Status Craft is designed as a status saver, status maker, post creator, caption maker, video tools, saved library, privacy vault, and social link saver app.
We respect your privacy. Our app is designed with a local-first approach, which means many features work directly on your device without requiring an account or backend server.
2. App Purpose
Status Craft helps users:
- View and save WhatsApp statuses available on the user’s own device.
- Create custom status posts using images, text, fonts, colors, and boxes.
- Use Business Maker tools to create business promo posts.
- Save and organize social links as bookmarks.
- Use video tools such as splitter, trimmer, compressor UI, and export history.
- Generate captions and quote ideas.
- Use saved library, favorites, folders, private vault, and app lock flows.
3. Information We May Collect
The current app experience is designed to work without mandatory signup. Depending on how you use the app, the following information may be stored locally on your device.

4. Information We Do Not Collect
Status Craft does not intentionally collect:
- Your WhatsApp, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, or other social media passwords.
- Your private messages or chats.
- Your contacts list.
- Your call logs.
- Your banking or payment card details.
- Your precise GPS location.
- Private social media session cookies or login tokens.
5. Local Storage and Guest Mode
Status Craft supports guest/no-signup usage. In guest mode, your bookmarks, folders, drafts, saved media records, settings, and editor data are stored locally on your device.
If you uninstall the app, clear app data, or change devices, locally stored data may be deleted and may not be recoverable unless a backup feature is available and enabled.
6. Permissions We May Request
Depending on your device and feature usage, Status Craft may request permissions such as:
- Photos/Media/Storage: To show, import, save, export, or manage images/videos on your device.
- Folder Access: On Android, to allow the user to select the WhatsApp status folder where applicable.
- Camera: To allow users to capture an image for status/post creation if this feature is enabled.
- Notifications: To show optional reminders or app updates if notification features are enabled.
You can manage or revoke permissions from your device settings at any time.
7. WhatsApp Status Saver Notice
On Android, Status Craft may display WhatsApp statuses that are already available on your device after you have viewed them in WhatsApp. The app may require user-granted access to the relevant device folder.
Status Craft is not affiliated with WhatsApp, Meta, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, or Google. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.
8. Social Link Saver Notice
The Link Saver / Bookmark Social feature allows users to save URLs from platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and other websites for personal organization.
This feature stores links only. It does not download videos from those platforms. Users can open saved links in the original app or browser.
9. User-Created Content
Users may create posts, captions, business promo images, designs, notes, folders, and drafts. These items are generally stored locally on the user’s device unless a future cloud backup or sync feature is enabled by the user.
Users are responsible for ensuring that they have permission to save, edit, repost, or share any content they use in the app.
10. Advertising
Status Craft may show ads through third-party advertising services such as Google AdMob. These services may use advertising identifiers, device information, and interaction data to provide and measure ads.
We aim to use policy-safe ad placements and avoid placing ads too close to important actions such as Save, Share, or Delete buttons.

11. Analytics and Crash Reporting
We may use analytics and crash reporting tools to understand app performance, feature usage, crashes, and errors. Analytics should be privacy-safe and should not include private media content, private chats, or social media credentials.
Example events may include app opened, status saved, link bookmarked, folder created, post exported, or crash occurred.
12. Backend, Cloud Sync, and Future Features
The current app can work local-first. In future versions, optional backend features may be introduced, such as account login, cloud backup, AI captions, template library, remote configuration, feedback, support, and analytics dashboards.
If cloud backup or account sync is added, users should be clearly informed before their data is uploaded or synchronized.
13. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited information only in the following cases:
- With service providers used for ads, analytics, crash reporting, hosting, or support.
- When required by law or valid legal process.
- To protect app security, prevent abuse, or enforce policies.
- With your consent, such as when you choose to share/export content.
14. Data Retention
Local app data remains on your device until you delete it, clear app data, or uninstall the app. If backend features are enabled in future versions, server-side retention periods should be defined based on the feature, legal requirements, and user controls.
15. Your Choices and Controls
You may be able to:
- Delete saved links, folders, notes, drafts, and saved records.
- Clear cache or local data from app settings.
- Revoke permissions from device settings.
- Disable notifications from device settings.
- Use the app without creating an account where guest mode is available.
16. Children’s Privacy
Status Craft is not intended for children under the age required by applicable law to use digital services without parental consent. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can review and remove it where applicable.
17. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect app data. However, no method of storage or transmission is 100% secure.
For sensitive local features such as Privacy Vault or App Lock, users should keep their device secure, use a strong device lock, and avoid sharing their PIN.
18. Copyright and Content Responsibility
Users are responsible for the content they save, create, edit, share, or repost. You should only use content that you own, have permission to use, or are legally allowed to use.
Status Craft does not encourage copyright infringement, unauthorized downloading, or misuse of third-party platform content.
19. Third-Party Services and Links
The app may contain links to third-party websites or open social links in external apps or browsers. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party services.

20. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
